过去的反盗版广告，都是从两点入手：一是把观看盗版电影比作偷窃财物；一是强调盗版DVD图像质量差。这些新版广告是一个新的宣传知识产权保护的机构 (Industry Trust for Intellectal Property Awareness)制作，强调电影制作的不易，观众买票进场看电影，是帮助了超过英国15万的电影从业人员。由负面改为正面，想想也有道理，在电影院看到这些广告的观众，都是已经讨了钱的，负面广告仿佛仍然把观众当贼，现在改为被夸奖两句，自然高兴。

而且广告故事的设计也是受电影启发，已经拍摄的三段广告，分别取材于电影 Lord of Rings、The Jaw 和 The Life of Brian，把观众当作影迷，再次拉拢一下。

在入选的5部电影中，我只看过 The Lives of Others, Pan’s Labyrinth 和 Syndromes and a Century。本来 The Lives of Others 是明显的赢家，但在看了Anna Funder 在 Sight & Sound 上的批评之后，感觉有点复杂。Anna Funder 的批评不是针对电影的艺术成就，而是针对电影在对待历史真实上的道德责任。没有看过的两部电影中，The Science of Sleep 似乎评价不佳，不知道是如何入选的，而 Climates，我看到的评论都是十分好的。

如果让我选的话，我会选 Syndromes and a Century.

今年的BAFTA奖，是美国编剧工会罢工的意外获益者。金球奖颁奖礼取消，奥斯卡奖颁奖礼是否举行还是个疑问，只有下个月的BAFTA奖颁奖礼铁定举行，必然能比往常更引人注目，更能吸引大明星出席。

今年BAFTA奖的结果，却很可能与金球奖结果类似。最佳电影可能是 Atonement 与
No Country Old Men 之争，最佳英国电影可能落到两部“小片”Control 或者 This is England 头上。Atonement 同时角逐最佳电影和最佳英国电影，反而对它的获奖机会
不利。

最佳男主角 Daniel Day-Lewis (There Will Be Blood) 仍然是最大热门。最佳女主角比较难预测，Julie Christie (Away From Her) 和 Marion Cotillard (La Vie En Rose)
都刚刚得到金球奖，Cate Blanchett 也是(不过获奖的是 I’m Not There)，Keira Knightley 是英国观众的宠儿，但在 Atonement 中的演技不一定受同行认可。

在最佳男配角奖上，Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men)刚刚得到金球奖，仍然是BAFTA奖的热门。今年竞争最激烈的，恐怕还是最佳女配角奖，其中 Cate Blanchett
(I’m Not There)和 Samantha Morton (Control)可能稍稍占优势。

最佳导演今年属于无法预测的类别。五个获得提名的导演都带来了非常出色的作品。

在最佳外语片上，《色·戒》面临强劲对手，法国片 The Diving Bell and the Butterfly
和 La Vie en Rose 应该是热门，不过《色·戒》还是有一定希望。

1. Die Hard 4.0 (2007) 美国
好久没有看到这么差的动作片，而且我还一直很喜欢 Die Hard 系列。编导实在太懒，不仅情节不愿意做推敲，桥段与动作场面个个似曾相识，一点也没努力让观众对主角的命运稍稍关心一点。

2. Sunshine (2007) 英国/美国
一部故作深沉，却是科幻片悬疑片哲理片都没有玩像的电影。

3. Babel (2006) 美国/法国/墨西哥
又一部把自己看得太高，貌似高深、其实空洞的电影。

4. Curse of the Golden Flowers (2006) 中国/香港
布景如此艳丽刺眼，难怪角色个个发疯。出了宫，张艺谋立刻活了。

5. Jindabyne (2006) 澳大利亚
电影前半段还不错，但我对后半段流露出的貌似种族和解，实则仍是白人中心的理念十分痛恨。

6. Youth Without Youth (2007) 美国/德国/法国/意大利/罗马尼亚
科普拉 (Francis Ford Coppola)复出作品，其实还可以一看，但是对大师期望过高了。

这是最近出现的一批诡异而又引人入胜的法国犯罪悬疑片中的一部。

Paul Verhoeven 回到荷兰后的一部大片，还是忍不住拍成了悬疑片。

Prête-moi ta main (2006)/I Do (2006)

今年看了三部法国喜剧片。去看 OSS 117 时，原以为是去看一部“法国的007”电影，结果是“法国的 Austin Powers”。OSS 117 是一个法国喜剧系列，主角是一个鲁莽无知却又总能蒙混过关的间谍。这部电影继承了法国喜闹片的传统，与 Austin Powers 系列的差别是，有更多“政治不正确”的敏感政治笑料，比如 OSS 117 在开罗因为嫌吵把窗外清真寺呼唤祈祷的人暴打一顿，这种笑话恐怕难以在英语喜剧片中看到。当然免不了的当然还是性、性别、性取向的玩笑。我觉得比 Austin Powers 玩得更开放。

My Best Friend 和 I Do 是比较常规的喜剧片。My Best Friend 的主角(Daniel Auteuil)是一个事业成功，交游广阔的古董商，有一次被同事指出他的所谓朋友其实都是有着利害关系的，于是决定找出一个真正的朋友来证明自己还是有朋友的，发现自己还真是没有朋友。在偶遇一个与人见面熟的出租汽车司机(Dany Boon)后，决定拜他为师，学习结交朋友。这是一部情节非常主流化，更象是美国片的喜剧，Daniel Auteuil 和 Dany Boon 的搭配倒是不错，可惜情节无惊喜，笑料一般，属于不过不失，还看得下去片子。

在 I Do 中，男主角(Alain Chabat)同样是一个事业成功、享受自由的中年独居人士，不过他有着一个大家庭，有母亲和众多姐妹替他的婚姻大事着急，于是想到了一个借假女朋友(Charlotte Gainsbourg)的妙计，计划在让假女友赢得全家欢心后，再上演逃跑新娘，然后自己做遭受打击状，让家人再不敢提让自己结婚。这部有着喜闹剧的风格，人物性格更加卡通化，还有点法国电影 Amelie 式的快速情节切换。故事仍然过于落入俗套，最大败笔是 Gharlotte Gainsbourg，总是作漫不经心状。

如果说 My Best Friend 对于花钱可以买到友情还有些保留，I Do 则是全盘接受了花钱买假女友服务的正当性，已经不再是对于人际关系即金钱关系的讽刺，而是赞美金钱可以买到爱情的两全其美。

The Band’s Visit 的故事十分简单，一支八个人的埃及警察乐队“亚利山大纪念乐队”应邀来到以色列某地参加当地阿拉伯文化中心开幕演出，阴差阳错之下，来到了一个前不着村后不着店、没有任何特色的沙漠小镇。能问路的只有一家没有顾客的小饭馆，老板娘 Dina 的回答是：“这里没有阿拉伯文化中心，没有以色列文化中心，这里没有文化中心。”最后一趟巴士开走了，乐队指挥 Tawfiq 只能接受饭馆老板娘的建议，留宿一晚，当地还没有旅馆，乐队成员必须分散挤到几户人家里。

照当今的流行电影情节，这个故事大概有两个发展方向，一个是“在陌生地方受袭”的恐怖片路子，一个是“受陌生人启发领悟人生真谛”的公路片路子。在这部电影中，一夜过去，什么也没发生，乐队成员完整的离开，也没有发生影响人生道路的事件。只是在这一夜，几个成员有机会问一些自己通常会回避的问题，或者从陌生人身上看一看自己的人生。演乐队指挥 Tawfiq 的 Sasson Gabai 获得了欧洲电影学院奖的最佳男主角，他在面对主动好奇的 Dina 时情绪上的种种变化，向我们展示了他性格的层次丰富。

这部电影中充满着让人忍俊不禁的时刻，却也有许多让人叹息、甚至让观众对角色失望的时刻，可见角色刻画的成功。

The Band’s Visit 中许多旅行者有共鸣的场景，比如忽然来到一个陌生的地方，经常出现的情况不是有人对你不怀好意，想打你主意，而是当地人当你透明。想想自己平时面对东张西望的游客也是一脸漠然。

然而，放在埃及－以色列这样的环境中，我还是忍不住想看看这些故事是否还有另一层意义。最直接的结论，是不论是敌人还是朋友，大家都有自己的烦恼，大家最关心的，无非还是家庭、工作、逝去的梦想、男人女人－－难道不可以和平共处？如果把电影中的角色想像
成具有某种象征意义，代表着以色列与阿拉伯国家之间关系的种种符号，那么最简单的解释，无非是即使双方不能爱上对方、那至少可以理解对方、或者干脆不要执着地为历史找到答案，也许沉闷无趣的妥协比虚幻的理想对平民百姓来说更有意义。
