勃朗特三姐妹中最小的Anne Brontë在约克郡海滨镇子Scarborough去世，姐姐Charlotte决定将妹妹就地安葬在St Mary’s教堂的墓园，墓园在Scarborough Castle边，俯瞰山下的海湾。墓碑上大部分文字已经看不清了，在2011年Brontë Society在墓地上加了一块墓碑，上面有墓碑原文：
Here Lie the remains of Anne Brontë
Daughter of the Revd P Brontë
Incumbent of Haworth Yorkshire
She died Aged 28 May 28th 1849
除此之外，新加的墓碑上还有文字注明原墓碑铭文有误：Anne Brontë在去世时是29岁，而不是28岁。
